I had an amazing time photographing some of Southampton pride over the 2 days. Pride is one of my favourite events to do as it shows the LGBTQ+ community coming together and showing love and acceptance to one and other. In times like today we need pride events more than ever.
I was so happy to capture such a powerful, joyful and loved filled event. There were so many amazing moments from the event from photographing the parade to the hosts to the main stage performers.
The team behind Southampton pride work tirelessly to make sure that the event can run for free as well as making it run smoothly. The team behind Southampton pride always make sure the attendees and the volunteers are well looked after.
Some of the amazing highlights across the two days has to be photographing the parade, pixie polite, Bradley riches and La void as well as lots of talented local queens.
When it comes to photographing a event like this it is so important to try and not get faces of members of the pubic in it but most importantly capturing the performers interact with the audience.
